Software, decided on what the vendors actually publish

Every guide on this site compares products on their own pricing pages and documentation, with the date each fact was checked and a link to where it came from. No star ratings, no "we tested", and no winner where the published facts do not produce one. Start with the category you are deciding.

How we decide

The same rule on every page: the vendor's own published facts, dated and linked, ranked by a rule stated on the page.

  • The ranking rule for this page: Each category page states its own one-sentence ranking rule; the homepage ranks nothing.
  • Where the facts come from: each product's own pricing and documentation pages, linked under every card with the date we checked them. When a vendor changes a plan, the fact changes here on the next check, and the date moves.
  • What we do not do: star ratings, review counts, or claims to have tested the software in a lab. We compare what the companies publish, and we say when two products are close.
  • How we are paid: some links pay us a commission if you start a paid plan. That is disclosed in the footer, it never changes the price you pay, and products with no partner program are ranked on the same rule as products with one.

Frequently Asked Questions

A site that decides between software products on the facts the vendors publish: pricing pages, plan tables and documentation, each fact dated and linked. It covers the tools a person or small team uses to work online: password managers, AI writing and voice tools, meeting-note apps, newsletter platforms and more. It is published by Melting Wax Studios.

Some vendor links pay a commission if you start a paid plan. The commission is paid by the vendor, never added to your price, and products without a partner program are ranked on the same rule as products with one. The full disclosure is in the footer of every page.

No, and the site never claims to. Every comparison is made on what the vendors publish, checked on a stated date. Where two products are close on the published facts, the page says so rather than inventing a winner.

Each fact carries the date it was read from the vendor's page. Pages are rechecked on a rolling schedule and the date moves when a fact changes; the vendor's page is always the authority.
